Easter Is Just Around the Corner
Come Party in the Park!
Carolina Beach Parks and Recreation sponsors the most awesome Easter Egg Hunt in the area. This year will be extra special since we are also celebrating the opening of the new Island Greenway bike and walking trail.
This event is made possible by our wonderful island community. Local businesses donate prizes for the Easter Egg Hunt and there is something special for each age group. The Parks and Recreation committee goes all out for this event and it just gets better every year. This year the event will include 3 bouncy houses and entertainment. The police department is also donating and cooking free hot dogs.
The event is open to children from toddlers to 12 year olds. The egg hunt itself it the most entertaining part of the event as hundreds of children search for eggs to fill their baskets.
The event will held at Mike Chappell Park located 501 Dow Road, Carolina Beach. Beginning at 10:30 am the first 250 kids will receive a Kid’s Reusable Tote Bag Craft and the Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 11:00 am. After the hunt at approximately 11:15 am the bouncy houses will be available for children ages 5 and under.
At 11:30 am there will be a ribbon cutting for the new Island Greenway. Ride your bikes and take a trip down the new trail.
At 11:45 the Carolina Beach Police Department will be serving free hot dogs. Bring a few dollars and buy yourself a snow cone from Snowie to beat the heat. Bring a lawn chair and kick back to some tunes from the Folkstone Band.
In the event we have bad weather check the Carolina Beach Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page for updates. HAPPY SPRING YA’LL!
